Weston’s Story
I have been busy writing this past week and am nearing the completion of my book! I have been writing about the first time I made contact with Dr. Meg Blackburn in August 2005. I have to laugh to myself at the simplicity of the questions I asked her, and the fact that some things have not changed!
One of the first things I wanted to know is why he refused to wear shoes. By that time it had been roughly three years since he stopped wearing shoes or socks on his feet. No sandals, flip flips, Crocs, etc. This had first started to become a real problem when Weston was working with another healer, Melissa Deedon. He had worn shoes sometimes (mostly to school) but I noticed that after working with Melissa for a time his ability to tolerate shoes came to a stop in about May 2002. She explained to me that it had to do with his vibration changing and him needing to be grounded. Of course, Don and I had hoped it was a passing phase and it was obvious that three years later we were still trying to change his behavior. Today, (eight years later) I have come to fully accept that he cannot wear shoes, though Don still does wish that he will one day.
I found it interesting that Dr. Meg’s Masters said that Weston was gifted because of all of the lives he would touch. They said that anyone who would come into his presence would be affected and that he was giving much more than what people would realize.
Five years ago when this was told me I remembered thinking, “Yah, I have heard that before” and not giving it much attention. I was still very focused on getting Weston to speak audibly and to wear shoes. I can see how shortsighted I was at the time. I guess it was really all too much to imagine (still is at times!). Dr. Meg would often end our conversations by encouraging me to “hold on for the ride” which I always appreciated because it was all I could really do.
Amazingly, five years later Weston and Meg Lupin have been asked to be a part of the New Thought Youth Symposium which is being sponsored by Agape Youth and Family Ministry and CosmiKids, Inc. on May 19, 2010. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Los Angeles Marriott in Burbank, California. The symposium will offer groundbreaking techniques in spiritual education, provide the opportunity to meet with other New Thought youth leaders, and CosmiKids will unveil their latest Station of Discovery based on Rev. Michael Beckwith’s Life Visioning Process.

Finally, we will be offering the teacher's training for the Developing the Healer Within Classes for kids very soon. This program would be a wonderful addition to any school, homeschooling, or church's curriculum.
One last thing, Weston has asked that Meg schedule the next teleconference for May 5th. I just wanted all of you to know that Weston is the one who schedules these teleconferences and he does not always give us a lot of notice! If it were me, I would have a calendar already made out for the next six months. As he says, those who need to be on the call will be. Thank you to all of you who have been part of the calls. Many have been on every single phone call and your continued interest in what my son has to say is humbling. As his mother, I thank you for accepting him so unconditionally. Your actions remind me each month that there is a place and a higher purpose for a boy like mine. The words of Dr. Meg’s Masters ring true.

We all have peaceful places in our hearts. Many of you right now are thinking, “Sometimes it doesn’t feel like that at all”! The peace is always there. It is the part of us that knows the answers to everything! It is the part of us that did not forget that all living things are blessed! It is the part of us that knows that our time is coming to expand into oneness with everyone!
If you quiet your heart and listen to the joy and love within, you will discover parts of yourself that will surprise you. Your internal beauty is what is most important. The outside world would not want you to believe this. So much time is wasted on outward appearance. If the world spent half of the time on the inward beauty that they do on the outward beauty, we would have world peace.
Check in with heart often. Run your decisions through your heart for clarity, truth and love. The purity there will ensure that you cannot make a mistake. Your heart is your guide. Let it guide you into love and peace like you have never felt before. You deserve it!
