Weston’s Story

I am thrilled to tell you that I finally finished editing my book! I am also embarrassed on how long it took me!  It was definitely much more fun writing it. To me, writing was like having a party and visiting with old friends. Editing, however, is like the day after in which you have to clean up the mess!

It had been close to two months since I picked up my manuscript to edit the final five chapters because I just could not get motivated! You know what finally pushed me into finishing it this past weekend – Pushy Pants himself!

I spoke to a very nice woman a few weeks ago who Weston told me (via the white board) that he had a message for. Well, that is not too unusual but I did think it was a little odd when he insisted that he wanted Chris (and not Meg) to voice his message for him. It is not that Chris is unwilling to do such a thing, but I speak to Meg more often and it is something that she has done for him in the past. So why the insistence on Chris?  Well, I have worked with Weston long enough and have seen him use seemingly random opportunities to “gently prod” people to do something they have not been willing to do (hence the name Pushy Pants). I was not about to get called out by my teenage son in front of Chris! So, I took the passive approach and did nothing about Weston’s desire to give this lovely woman a message for a few more weeks (sorry). I procrastinated for as long as I politely could because I knew that once I did make that call to Chris to schedule some time with her I would be on the clock to finish editing the final chapters. I gave a sigh of relief when Chris did not return my call immediately (yeah, I could still tell myself that there were other more important things to do like clean my bathrooms!).

When she did call me a day or so later I found myself immediately telling her that I was very aware of the fact that Weston was going to “bust my chops” for not having finished editing the book, so she could just save her breath. I told her to tell him I planned on doing it over the next few days (which, of course, I had told myself that in the past at least three other times and never did it). This time, however, the threat of being reprimanded by Weston was enough and I just knew I would complete it before my session with Chris. Poor Chris, she returns my call to offer her assistance, and I immediately make this huge confession and at the same time warn her to not do her job and voice Weston’s completely understandable frustration with me. As always, Chris listened to my ranting and hysterics with all sweetness and calm but had to laugh as she kept on being told prior to even phoning me that she needed to make my appointment to speak to her about five days later in spite of the fact that she had some time available the following day. After hearing my panic about needing to make sure the story was completely edited before my session with her, she then understood the reason for the request to have the session later rather than sooner.

The teleconference last week was wonderful! I am just so humbled by the number of people who have been on every teleconference since the beginning. Your e-mails detailing your experience and how you feel during and after the teleconferences are priceless to me and Don. I treasure all of these e-mails as it means so much to both of us to know that Weston has been of service to you. As usual, Carmen assessed the grid prior to the teleconference and once again saw a lot of what she describes as “beautiful, white diamond dust” all around the grid. In addition, she told me that the energy that was coming through was very restorative and that participants may feel very sleepy during the teleconference and might even sleep very soundly that evening. To my delight, Weston did just that! After the teleconference was over (around 7 p.m.) Weston was ready for bed! I think the last time he went to bed that early was when he was two years old!

Finally, we hope to host a Healing and Networking Workshop in Orange County and possibly LA/South Bay (Long Beach) in the upcoming months. See future newsletters for more details.
