Most people are familiar with Mardi gras carnivale but did you know that Carnicale goes on all over not only the southern gulf states but in Mexico, central America and South America. I have a fiend who runs a colectables store of genuine Carniivale Masks from all over those places. I have only a small collection compared to his. these masks were actually worn, they must have been pretty heavy and awkward back then since they are made of wood and painted or foiled.
This mask is an angel. Covered in gold and silver foil and simplistic in design, this little angel is humble yet peaceful too. This one is hard to describe since he evokes a numer of feelings. He is a joy to have around!
