The floating island people , or the Uros are a group of peole who literally live on floating islands made of reeds on lke Titicaca. Recent gneetic studies has proven that the Uros are a seperate and uniue race from all others in Peru or anywhere. Everything they life with, their homes, furiture, foods, crafts, pretty much evrything is made of reeds that are woven and often dyed as brightly colored boats, houses and other things. As you ull up to the Uors islands it feels as if Disney found a home in peru. Not not so, the Uros people are imaginative, creative and wonderful crafts people. They ake their livings aking miniatures of their world for peole to buy. I have only two boats and one carved orb left fro there this is boat two. Each is about 10 inches long an dare detailed right down to the passengers on the boats!
